The Moment iPhone case comes with a wrist-strap mount. A review
I bought and used the moment phone case for each new iPhone for almost a decade. I still remember buying the first Moment photo case on Kickstarter in 2015.
The moment phone case is a great and robust case and I bought it mainly to be able to attach moment lenses and because it allowed me to add a wrist strap.

Why I bought the Moment iPhone case
As mentioned, I bought Moment cases since the first one was released. To prove it, here are a few Moment photo cases for older iPhone models that I found in a drawer.
Moment iPhone Cases for older iPhone models
Previously, Moment called their cases for iPhone Moment Photo Case. Since 2020, Moment has dropped the photo case from the name. I can only speculate, but I believe it's because the Moment case is no longer a dedicated case just for iPhone photographers. It's become a great everyday case with a few useful extras for iPhone photographers.
I originally bought the Moment photo case to attach the Moment lenses to my iPhone. But since the release of the iPhone 12, I haven't used Moment lenses. But that changed in 2023. I ordered the 2023 edition of the Moment wide lens together with the case and have been using it to shoot wide angle photos with the 48 megapixel lens of the iPhone 15.
The second reason I bought the Moment case is because you can attach a wrist strap - an essential feature for me.
The iPhone case served me well for almost a decade. But I didn’t order one for the iPhone 16, because I started to use a cage solution for my iPhone 16.
Features of the Moment iPhone Case
Now, let's look at the most essential features of the Moment case.
Material of the Moment Case
The Moment case is made of high-strength, multilayer TPU. The case's inner contains a layer of microfiber lining, protecting your iPhone.
What I like about the new generation of Moment iPhone cases that started to ship with iPhone 14 is that they're much softer than the previous rugged ones. Thus, it's easier to attach and remove.
Moment claims that the iPhone case offers drop protection for a height of up to 10 feet. I've "tested" the drop protection a few times with my old iPhones and Moment cases; e.g., I dropped the iPhone on a wooden floor with the case attached to it. Neither the iPhone nor the floor was damaged in any way. I also dropped an iPhone in a lost place on a concrete floor. The iPhone didn't even have a crack.
Lens Mount for Moment Lenses
Moment changed the mounting system for their lenses a few times since the original case. Since iPhone 12, Moment uses a drop-in lens mount that you can add to the Moment case if you use the Moment lenses.
The drop-in lens mount is a piece of plastic you attach to your case. But I wouldn't call it a drop-in lens mount rather than a press-in lens mount because you need to use force to attach the lens mount to the case. But once it's attached, it feels securely attached to the case.
You have to attach the lens mount from inside the case. So, once you've attached the case to your iPhone, there's no way that the lens mount and the case suddenly become disconnected.
You must purchase the lens mount separately. So don't forget to add it to the cart at the moment Online Store.
The Moment Photo case ships with a non-lens-mount frame; you'll have to remove that frame first to attach the lens mount for Moment lenses.
Remove the frame before your add the drop in lens mount
Press firmly on the drop-in lens mount frame's edges outside of the case to remove the drop-in that ships with the case. Next, make sure to align the lens mount drop-in (that you have to order separately) with the case properly. There are two (very) small dots: one on the case and one on the drop-in lens mount.

Align the drop in lens mount and press firmly
Now press the lens mount firmly into the notch - from the inside of the case! Now you can mount any of the Moment lens to the moment case.
Attach a wrist strap to the Moment Case
I've mentioned it a few times in previous editions of this review, and I won't get tired of saying it repeatedly: The Moment Case allows you to attach a wrist or neck strap! That feature alone is worth the investment in this case, even if you don't use the Moment lenses.

Moreover, the wrist strap can be attached to either the right or left side of the case. So it will work for you whether you're left- or right-handed.
Please note that the case does not come with a wrist strap. You have to order one separately. Moment has a selection of wrist straps and neck straps that will perfectly match your case design.
Magsafe compatibility
Moment cases for iPhone 14 and later are all MagSafe compatible and support wireless charging. I use the Apple MagSafe Charger to charge my iPhone at home and the Anker 521 magnetic battery for charging it on the go. Both work great with the new Moment Case for my iPhone 15 and snap into place magnetically. Moment also claims that the magnet of the new iPhone 15 case is 15% stronger. I didn't test that for two reasons: first, the magnet was already pretty strong in previous editions of the case, and, secondly, I don't know how I should test it.
Of course, the Moment iPhone 15 cases also work with the Moment MagSafe Tripod Mount that I use for attaching it to a tripod.
iPhone Action Button Compatibility
Moment engineers also made the case compatible with the iPhone 15's new action button. You may have heard that the action button is no longer a real button than a touch button. Moment made the case a little bit thinner where the action button is located, and thus, the action button works great if you own an iPhone 15.
Speaking of buttons, one thing you must be aware of is that the other buttons of the Moment case for volume and locking it are too smooth for my personal taste. I'd prefer if I had to press the buttons more firmly.
Other iPhone cases with wrist strap support
During the last years more brands launched phone cases with wrist strap support. For example Bellroy offers the iPhone Venture case. Alternatively I’ve found a solution for my companion for our Ireland road trip that allows you to attach a wrist strap to almost any iPhone case.
Summary: Would I repurchase the Moment case for iPhone?
Let's forget about the lenses for a moment (pun intended). I've been buying Moment cases for my iPhones for almost a decade. It protected my iPhone when I accidentally dropped it, and I could attach a wrist strap to the case. Those are two essential features for me as an iPhone photographer.
If I wouldn’t have turned to a cage solution, I’d still buy the moment case because of the reasons mentioned above.
